Modern Slavery Statement
Where our products come from and how we make sure no one was harmed along the way.
1. Our commitment
UVCVTM Limited, trading as PurHaven, is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our business or supply chains. We have a zero-tolerance approach to all forms of modern slavery, including forced labour, child labour, and human trafficking.
2. Our structure and business
We are a small UK-registered business based in England, importing and distributing air-purification products from MedicAir (UK-engineered) and MAXVAC (European-manufactured). We do not manufacture products ourselves. We employ a small team and engage a limited number of UK-based service providers (couriers, hosting, payment processing).
3. Our supply chains
Our key supply-chain relationships are:
- MedicAir Ltd — UK-based manufacturer of the MedicAir Pro, Pro Mini and Pro Max units. Designed and assembled in the UK by British healthcare engineers. Their published practices align with UK employment law.
- MAXVAC (DustControl Group) — European manufacturer (Switzerland and Germany) of the MAXVAC Medi range. They are subject to EU and Swiss labour law, which has equivalent or stricter protections than the UK Modern Slavery Act.
- UK delivery partners — Royal Mail and other established UK couriers, all subject to UK employment law.
- Technology vendors — Vercel (US, with EU data residency), Neon (EU), Revolut (UK/Lithuania), GoDaddy (US), Resend (US). All are established companies in jurisdictions with robust labour protections.
We do not source from regions with elevated slavery or trafficking risk according to the Global Slavery Index.
4. Our policies
We expect all suppliers and partners to:
- Comply with all applicable employment, health, safety and human-rights laws in their jurisdiction
- Pay at least the legal minimum wage
- Not engage in forced labour, debt bondage, or human trafficking
- Not employ children under the legal working age
- Respect freedom of association
Suppliers found in breach will have their relationship with us reviewed and may be terminated.
5. Due diligence
Given the size and structure of our business, our due diligence is proportionate. We:
- Source only from established manufacturers and service providers in low-risk jurisdictions (UK, EU, Switzerland, US)
- Review supplier websites, published policies and certifications before establishing a relationship
- Maintain open lines of communication with our manufacturers and would investigate any concerns raised by employees, customers, or third parties
6. Training and awareness
All staff are made aware of modern-slavery indicators at induction and have access to this statement. We will provide further training as our business grows.
7. Reporting concerns
Anyone with concerns about modern slavery or human trafficking relating to our business or supply chain can email sales [at] uvcvtm.com. Concerns can be raised anonymously and will be investigated promptly. You can also contact the Modern Slavery and Exploitation Helpline on 08000 121 700.
8. Review
This statement is reviewed annually and updated as our business changes.
