Returns Policy
Changed your mind? Unit arrived damaged? Here's exactly what to do and what you're entitled to.
1. Your right to cancel
Under the UK Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 you have a statutory right to cancel an order for any reason within 14 days of receiving the goods. We extend this to 30 days as standard for any unused, unopened product.
2. How to start a return
- Email sales [at] uvcvtm.com with your order reference and the reason for return.
- We'll reply with return instructions and a tracked return label.
- Pack the unit in its original packaging, with all accessories and filter included.
- Hand it to the courier on the date arranged.
3. Refunds
Once the returned item reaches us and is confirmed in resalable condition, we'll process your refund within 14 days back to the same payment method used at purchase. The £-amount refunded includes the original delivery charge if you returned the full order (subject to the regulations).
4. Damaged on arrival or defective
If the unit arrives damaged or develops a fault within the manufacturer warranty (2 years on MAXVAC and MedicAir Pro Mini, 3 years on MedicAir Pro and Pro Max):
- Contact us within 7 days of delivery for damage in transit, or any time during the warranty for manufacturing defects.
- We arrange free collection.
- You can choose either replacement or full refund.
5. Filters, lamps and consumables
For hygiene reasons, replacement filters and UV-C lamps cannot be returned once their sealed packaging has been opened — except in the case of a manufacturing defect, where the standard warranty terms above apply.
6. Who pays for return postage
- Change of mind: you pay the return postage. We can arrange a courier at cost if you'd prefer.
- Damaged, defective or wrong item shipped: we pay everything — collection, replacement, return.
7. Items that can't be returned
- Opened filter or UV-C lamp packs (hygiene)
- Items damaged through misuse, neglect, or unauthorised repair
- Custom or bulk-ordered items, once the order has shipped (we'll always confirm before processing a bulk order)
8. Statutory rights
Nothing in this policy reduces your statutory rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. If you have a dispute we can't resolve directly, you can also use the EU Online Dispute Resolution platform (still available for UK consumers) or contact Citizens Advice.
